Kevin Florent

Was born and raised in Lutcher, Louisiana, as one of six children. He was a dual-sport athlete who played football and basketball for his high school before graduating in 1983. 

Kevin received a scholarship to play Division I basketball at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from which he graduated in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. 

After his college graduation, Kevin played basketball in the European Basketball League for 21 years and coached basketball for five years in Europe. 

He joined Geneva College as an assistant women’s basketball coach for the previous two seasons, working for one year as the part-time nightly security officer before moving full-time. Kevin is a passionate women’s basketball coach and a caring security officer.
